Zola… a sweet 6 month old little girl who has already overcome so much is now ready to discover the world. She dreams of a warm home where she is loved and never has to leave again.
Zola was only a few days old when her life began in the most difficult way. She was found together with four other tiny puppies, all of them far too young to survive on their own. Their mother was nowhere to be found.
That same evening, one of the little puppies passed away. A few days later, another tiny life was lost
Of the five little souls, only three survived.
Zola was one of them…
Because they were so young, they needed round-the-clock care. They could not eat by themselves yet, so our wonderful volunteer Rosie bottle-fed them and gave them the warmth, love and care they desperately needed.
And look at Zola now
That fragile little puppy has grown into a happy, playful and loving girl who is ready for the next chapter of her life.
Zola is:
Sweet and affectionate
Happy and playful
Curious and cheeky
Eager to learn
Gets along well with other dogs
Loves attention and cuddles
A little cautious with people she doesn’t know yet
Zola is still very young, so there is so much for her to discover. New people, new smells, her first walks, learning the rules of family life and finding out how wonderful the world can be.
Everything is still new to her, and with patience, love and consistent, positive guidance, Zola can grow into a wonderful and loyal companion.
She has already fought hard for her little life.
Now she deserves the chance to simply be a puppy.
A warm home. A family of her own. A place where she will never again have to wonder where she belongs.
Will you give Zola the fresh start she deserves?

FAQ

What is the process to adopt?

First, you’ll fill out an adoption application so we can get to know you, your family, and what you’re looking for in a dog. If it looks like a good fit, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet. From there, if everyone feels it’s the right match, we’ll move ahead with an adoption agreement and fee. We’re here to support you through the whole process.

How much does it cost to adopt?

Our adoption fees usually range from $450 to 600, depending on the dog’s age and needs. This helps cover things like vaccinations, spay/neuter, vet care, rehabilitation, and travel costs to Canada.

What if the dog I adopt doesn’t work out?

We always want our dogs and adopters to be happy together. If you’re unsure, fostering first can be a great way to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. We truly believe dogs are family for life, but if something serious comes up, we will always take our dogs back into the rescue.

Why do you bring dogs from Playa del Carmen, Mexico? Aren’t there enough homeless dogs in Canada?

Although we do rescue dogs in Canada, we also partner with our sister rescue, SOS El Arca, in Playa del Carmen, where the need is heartbreaking.
Dogs there often live on the streets, without food, shelter, or medical care, and many suffer from abuse or neglect.
In Canada, most shelter dogs at least have safety, food, and a roof over their heads. By working together, we’re able to give these dogs a chance at life while also helping locally when we can.

Other ways to help?

Adoption isn’t the only way to change a dog’s life. You can help by:

-Fostering a dog and giving them a safe place to land.
-Donating to help cover medical care, food, and transport.
-Sponsoring a dog in need if you can’t foster or adopt.
- Offering transportation to and from their locations.
-Volunteering your time and skills, from event support to home checks.
-Sharing our posts and stories on social media to help dogs find their forever homes.

Every little bit makes a huge difference, and we’re so grateful for our amazing community of supporters. ❤️
