About
All Paws Matter
Since 2014, All Paws Matter has helped 500+ dogs move from fear to family—one rescue, one foster, one adoption at a time.
From broken to beloved
Many dogs arrive to us for fostering terrified, shut down, and unsure they’ll ever trust a human again. With consistent care and calm routines, we watch the smallest changes become big milestones: a tail that starts to wag, a head that lifts, a first nap without fear. Soon, a once-neglected dog is curled up on a couch, finally at home.
All Paws Matter began in March 2014 with a clear purpose: to give vulnerable dogs a real shot at life. Since then, we have carefully chosen loving homes for over 500 dogs who were once of the streets beaten hungry and homeless.
Rescue without borders
We couldn’t do this work alone. Our trusted sister rescue, SOS El ARCA Animal Rescue in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, pulls dogs from dire situations on the streets and begins the healing journey. Together, we provide safe shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, and the steady patience every dog needs to learn that people can be kind.

FAQ
What is the process to adopt?
First, you’ll fill out an adoption application so we can get to know you, your family, and what you’re looking for in a dog. If it looks like a good fit, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet. From there, if everyone feels it’s the right match, we’ll move ahead with an adoption agreement and fee. We’re here to support you through the whole process.
How much does it cost to adopt?
Our adoption fees usually range from $450 to 600, depending on the dog’s age and needs. This helps cover things like vaccinations, spay/neuter, vet care, rehabilitation, and travel costs to Canada.
What if the dog I adopt doesn’t work out?
We always want our dogs and adopters to be happy together. If you’re unsure, fostering first can be a great way to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. We truly believe dogs are family for life, but if something serious comes up, we will always take our dogs back into the rescue.
Why do you bring dogs from Playa del Carmen, Mexico? Aren’t there enough homeless dogs in Canada?
Although we do rescue dogs in Canada, we also partner with our sister rescue, SOS El Arca, in Playa del Carmen, where the need is heartbreaking.
Dogs there often live on the streets, without food, shelter, or medical care, and many suffer from abuse or neglect.
In Canada, most shelter dogs at least have safety, food, and a roof over their heads. By working together, we’re able to give these dogs a chance at life while also helping locally when we can.

Adoption isn’t the only way to change a dog’s life. You can help by:
-Fostering a dog and giving them a safe place to land.
-Donating to help cover medical care, food, and transport.
-Sponsoring a dog in need if you can’t foster or adopt.
- Offering transportation to and from their locations.
-Volunteering your time and skills, from event support to home checks.
-Sharing our posts and stories on social media to help dogs find their forever homes.
Every little bit makes a huge difference, and we’re so grateful for our amazing community of supporters. ❤️
